Are you searching for a good nanny?  Not sure where to even start? The recently released book 50 Parent Commandments, The Essential Guide to Hiring a Good Nanny could help.  It’s based on practical experience from others who have hired nannies, but goes beyond just finding the perfect fit.  Other questions covered in this book: Should you offer your nanny a bonus? What should you do if the nanny is a flirt? Should you allow the nanny to spank your child? How much should you pay a nanny? Should you have nanny cams? Childcare expert Tosi Ufodike relied on numerous parent and nanny interviews to write this book and covers all these topics and more.

The commandments covered in this book cover everything from checking references to finding out how to spot a fake (not all would-be nannies love children as much as they’d like you to believe).  Great nannies are out there.  This book will help make sure you find one.

Many of the parents who I work with ask about nanny services and how to find the perfect nanny.  That’s a tough question to answer without going into depth over so many things, from whether they’d like someone with a great deal of experience, someone who leans on the loving side instead of the firm side, or someone who might be willing to handle extra responsibilities around the house.  There are so many things to consider.

We all know BRITAX for its car seats, engineered to exceed safety standards, but now the company is thinking about all the extras a parent needs when traveling with a toddler or infant.

BRITAX introduced three new travel accessories last week, adding to the car seat and stroller and infant carrier lines.

The products include EZ-Cling Window Shades, Kick Mats and a Head & Body Support Pillow.

Dads-to-be aren't always the first to sign up for birthing classes, or buy books to educate themselves on what's expected in their new role. Kindred Howard, author of Cavemen in Babyland, figured that out fast, and geared his book toward women.

When you go into the hospital go give birth, you want to look your best.  We all know the traditional hospital gowns you have to put on when you’re admitted leave a lot to be desired in the fashion department.  There are other options these days.  In fact, there are even cute outfits for the guys to wear into labor and delivery.
